The year 2007! There’s something new to learn! Let’s see how long it’s going to take this year to draw a new number instead of old one. :) It’s a strange feeling to know that we are heading towards longer days an shorter nights once again. And still we haven’t even had a peak of the real winter yet. They actually told in the news that December were warmer that ever recorded before!

I have been enjoying my holiday mainly in Helsinki. We spent a lovely Christmas Eve with Tuomo at my parents place. We ate a lot and got a really nice presents. For example I got Edgar Allan Poe’s book and lovely wool shawl. Tuomo got new bed linens for his new bed and of course some chocolate. Mom got really tired and took a nap while we played Star of Africa -game with Tuomo and Dad. At 1:00 am my parents gave us a lift back to Helsinki. It was really nice to show them Tuomo’s new apartment all though the moving process wasn’t really over and there were lots of boxes everywhere.

During the middle days (like we call the days between Christmas and New Year) Tuomo had some time of from work and we went out for a dinner few times (thanks to some Christmas present money) and put the apartment in better shape. Now the apartment is really lovely and nice! :)

On 30th of December boys had a gig in the Icepark and of course I went there to see them. The gig was very funny, because all the boys were freezing their ass of and still they had to perform. Markus was wearing old 90’s skiing overall and was looking hysterically funny! :) I was laughing so much! After the gig we went to ours place (with Markus and Ilkka), where we had a small party. After all we ended up going out and I have to confess that I drank way too much!!! I hardly ever drink the amount that I get hung over, but this time I certainly got one…

I spent most of that night and next day on the halls floor, because it was the only place near enough the bath room! So you can probably guess how hard I partied next night! Yes, that’s true, I didn’t. But we actually had really nice New Years Eve anyway. Markus spent the Saturday night at our place as well. And on Sunday evening we all three went to have dinner to place called Soul Kitchen. The interior of the restaurant was wonderful and also the menu, but some how there was something wrong with the waiters and the food. For example waiters forgot our orders several times and I got my food cold… We really wanted to like the place, but it was almost impossible desire. We actually decided to give the place a second chance and go there again when it’s not such a busy day. They better not mess it up! :)

Now I probably better get my butt up from the sofa and head to the grocery store. Juuso (our old flat mate from UK) is visiting us and I promised to make some meatballs and mashed potatoes for dinner! Yum! :)

I hope you all have had a good start for your year.
